Gran Turismo Sport is a racing game that is developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 4. It is released in 2017. And it is the 13th game of the Gran Turismo series. Gran Turismo Sport is a very well-crafted online racing game with fantastic-looking, well-presented, and handles great. The game mainly focuses on the online mode by abandoning its single-player mode.
By comparing Gran Turismo Sport with Gran Turismo 5 or 6, Gran Turismo Sport does not feature dynamic weather and day-night cycle even though a player is able to modify the race’s time before entering the race. When the game first launched, there were only 168 cars and 29 tracks for players to select. The number is extremely less while comparing with the previous series. However, developers keep their promise by updating the game monthly in order to provide more new cars and tracks. There are a total of 324 cars and 82 tracks until December 2019.
As Gran Turismo Sport is mainly focused on online matches, it is pivotal to have a fair system for all the players. A “Sportsmanship Rating” system is added into the game which can help to identify dangerous hooligan players. This system helps to create a match with clean sectors, fair overtakes, and respectful racing as it allocates the player by the Sportsmanship Rating. If the player crashes into other players during the match, the player's ranking will decrease immediately after the match in order to give a clear punishment to the player.
Gran Turismo Sport is a well-executed, great-looking, and good-sound racing game. And some of the new tracks are fun which can make the player feel fresh. The only thing that you may need to consider is that mostly all the contents are online only.
